JOHANNESBURG, South Africa, 3 August 2018, African Press Association (APA),  MTN’s major investment in its network over the past three years continues to deliver an improved customer experience. Among a number of recent accolades, the MyBroadband third quarter survey, based on responses from 4,169 broadband users, has ranked MTN as the best mobile data provider in South Africa.

“We are very proud to have received such a prestigious accolade and thank everyone who participated. Our commitment to our customers is to continue to enhance and grow our network as we serve them in a manner that works for them, bringing them closer to what they want and need. ,” says Godfrey Motsa, Chief Executive Officer: MTN SA.

Over the past three years MTN has been a forerunner in its investment into network infrastructure and information systems, after committing R33 billion in capital expenditure during this period.

“We have made a firm commitment to transform our consumer experience and have delivered a network that is second to none. This accolade encourages us to work harder to continue brightening the lives of our customers and maintain a Bozza network that is unequalled in South Africa,” says Giovanni Chiarelli, Chief Technology and Information Officer: MTN SA.

MTN now has coverage all over the country, with 4G available in  metros, cities, towns and major routes linking Johannesburg and Durban and Tshwane and Polokwane to a large majority of customers.

4G can be optimised for mobile broadband and provides seamless access to the internet, offers faster upload and download speeds and an improved streaming experience.
