JOHANNESBURG – MEDIA registration is now open for AfricaCom, the largest information and communications technology conference and
exhibition in the continent, scheduled for South Africa.

The re-branded event, which is the 19th edition, is set for the Cape Town International Conference Centre between November 14 and 18.

Organizers said new, weeklong festival format will set the bar even higher for industry players through the expansion of the event offerings, creating a broader platform for delegates involved in powering the digital economy in Africa.

New conference features for 2016 include the LeadersIn Africa Headline Keynotes – a series of international names discussing Africa’s digital
development story at the end of each day, ASTARS (a leaders under 30 programme) and new content tracks focusing on Enterprise ICT, Big Data,
internet of things and Smart Cities.

Social features for 2016 include the AFEST live music event, featuring leading Local musicians and VIP Experiences including a golf day.

Other conference highlights include Mobile Finance & Commerce, Connecting Africa, LTE Africa, TV Connect Africa and Big Data.

Back by popular demand is the AHUB, powered by Ericsson – the meeting place for Africa’s start-up community; linking business ready
entrepreneurs, developers and start-ups with accelerators, investors, VCs and business mentors.

Pan-African publication, CAJ News Africa, and its technology entity, TechnoAfrica, are Media Partners.
