Kids abducted, strapped with bombs in new Boko Haram offensive

From AHMED OBAFEMI in Maiduguri, Nigeria,
MAIDUGURI, (CAJ News) – THE Boko Haram terror group is reportedly abducting children on errands, strapping them with suicide vests and sending them back home to detonate suicide bombs and kill members of their households. The Islamic militants are also feigning physical fights among its members in order to attract the attention of unsuspecting members to the scene before detonating their suicide bombers.
According to the Nigeria Army, these are the latest vicious ploys by the sect after serial failures that have trailed their suicide bomb attacks.“These deceptive tactics have been found to have played out in recent suicide bomb attacks carried out by the Boko Haram terrorists,” said Col.Onyema Nwachukwu, Deputy Director Public Relations of the Operation Lafiya Dole (Peace by Force).
Members of the public have therefore been urged to be wary of these reported tactics and avoid such unnecessary gatherings that could expose them to preventable danger.
Additionally, all parents and adults are advised to sensitize their children and wards on these new Boko Haram tricks.“They are also urged to be conscious of the whereabouts of their children and rein them in where necessary to prevent them from being callously used by the terrorists for the evil mission of suicide bombing,” Nwachukwusaid.
