  5. Really, Tildeb? Are you pretending that neither Dawkins nor any of his devotees ever imply explicitly that a designer/creator/God is ruled out by the ‘blind’ process of evolutionary development? Ever heard the God Delusion or the Ultimate 747 argument?I do note (happily) that you agree that chance should not be pitted against design – good on you. But surely you’re aware that atheists do this very thing all the time?  Dale

  7. Yes, the dilemma has been solved…just wanted to say -You actually gave up your BMW? My dad is still holding on tight to his 97′ 7 series and that thing has turned into a liability. We name her the ‘old bride’. (Funnier if u understand Chinese)If you’re ever in Germany, I’ll ask my uncle to take you to a BMW showroom. His friend works as a mechanic there. I remember being stuck at dinner with them + my dad & the topic was BMW till my ears bled. *shudders

  8. Hi. I am going to help with a 3rd grade class quilt.I like the idea of their drawing and lettering on the quilt. Seems like you are currently on a class quilt.May I call you? Lots of questions…one important one…could 3rd graders handle the fabric ink? Or if they do paper drawings have you ever scanned them to fabric? Thanks, Cathy

  9. My tip: convert to compact fluorescent light bulbs but FIRST call around and see where you can safely dispose of them in your area. If there are no resources available where you live, make a pest of calling and writing to your elected officials and your local sanitation provider to ask again and again that they get something in place quick.Katie’s latest blog post:

  10. Playa Del Carmen has been booming since I first visited over 10 years ago. The downtown looks like nothing like it once did. Every time I go back I can’t believe how much it has grown since my last trip. I did read a post on Wandering Earl (recently I believe) where he had found a pretty cheap apartment. However, seeing what I’ve seen over the years, I just don’t imagine cheap and Playa Del Carmen will continue to be mentioned in the same sentence.

  11. I feel like you could probably teach a class on how to make a great blog. This is fantastic! I have to say, what really got me was your design. You certainly know how to make your blog more than just a rant about an issue. Youve made it possible for people to connect. Good for you, because not that many people know what theyre doing.

  14. Hey… don’t feel bad, thank goodness it was just pistachio (less harmful, atleast it was not written POISON on the bucket or whatever container it was) not some high sugar, high calorie, high fat substance like cake or a pastry which can be consumed in just a matter of seconds and like the Satan may look and feel appealing to you regardless what its actually doing inside you!!
