MAIDUGURI, (CAJ News) – THE Commander of a Nigerian Army unit battling insurgents in the northeastern region has charged the troops to destroy the remnants of the Boko terrorists in their area of responsibility.
The Acting General Officer Commanding 7 Division Nigerian Army, Operation Lafiya Dole (Peace by Force), Brig Gen Victor Ezugwu, gave the instruction on Wednesday as he visited the troops at Tokumbere, Borno State.
The units are deployed at the Sambisa Forest, for years a lair of the Boko Haram sect until troops uprooted them late last year.
While they have been driven off the vast forest towards the border with Cameroon, terrorists have continued their murderous spree between the two
Ezugwu had earlier visited the 121 Task Force Batallion in Pulka and 26 Task Force Brigade Headquarters in Gwoza respectively.
